Our Service and How It Works 

After spending so much time already planning your cruise, (from booking your excursions, exchanging your currency, to digging out your evening attire), the last thing you want to be thinking about, is trying to find the ideal cruise travel insurance cover.

We aim to take the extra stress out of trying to find cruise travel insurance, by giving you an easy way to compare cruise travel insurance, from our specialist providers. Helping you get back to the important things, like what books to pack!

Our service is straightforward and convenient:

1. Click the Get a quote button.
2. Tell us about your cruise (Cruise Operator, Month of Cruise, Ship Name and Select Your Cruise), we will then locate your cruise itinerary, and fill in the information about your cruise (countries visiting and cruise start and end dates).
3. Next, we will ask you to add any other countries you plan to visit on this trip and to verify the start and end dates (should you be heading off on more adventures, before or after your cruise has ended).  
4. Then, you'll need to provide us with some personal details – including your name, date of birth, and email address. We will also ask you whether you have any pre-existing medical conditions, and if necessary, you will then need to let us know what they are and answer a few questions about your conditions. 
5. We will then show you a list of quotes from our panel who can offer you cover for your cruise. If you need to think about which policy to buy, do not worry! We will send you an email with your top quotes, where you will be able to revisit from where you left off, without having to re-enter all your details again. However, prices on our site are live and are subject to change.
6. Once you have made your decision and want to proceed with buying your policy, we will transfer you directly to the chosen insurance provider. You will then be able to re-confirm your details and make payment, securely. Once the payment has gone through, your provider will send you your policy documentation (these can sometimes end up in spam/junk folders – so be sure to check there if you can’t find them). 

As we are an online service, we are unable to offer or provide you with advice, nor can we recommend a policy to you. However, we do try to provide you with all the information you need to make a decision. Our website is full of guides and useful information for you to make an informed decision and understand what cover you need.

Can the quotes offered be trusted?

Yes! All of the quotes you’re offered are real-time and highly accurate. We connect directly with our providers, giving you their most current cover options.  However, we can’t always guarantee that the quotes will remain the same, should you need to leave the site and return at a later time as providers can change their rates.  

Additionally, if you go back and make changes to your application, it is also likely that the quotes offered will change. It's important to make sure your application is up-to-date, should you suddenly remember to add something important. 

Will I be contacted by the insurance providers directly? 

The only time an insurance provider will contact you directly is once you’ve purchased a policy from them. Once you have purchased a policy, your insurance provider will send you the full policy documentation, and various terms and conditions for you to read. This will usually be via email, however, should you require your documents to be sent in the post, the insurance provider can arrange for this as well. Make sure to keep these documents in a safe place, whilst your policy is in force.  

If you are still shopping around, you will only receive communications from us. This will be a summary of your top quotes we found for you, based on the information you provided. If you have opted in to receive marketing from us, we may send you newsletters from time to time, about new articles and blog posts we have added to our site.

If your service is free, how do you make money?

Once you’ve purchased your desired cruise travel insurance policy, the insurance provider you have chosen will pay us a commission. This is a percentage of the cost of your insurance policy, meaning that the price of your policy is not inflated by us, or includes an additional “administration fee”, unlike some of our competitors. 

We do not have a favourite provider, nor are we owned by any insurance companies, so the commission we receive does not influence or promote any specific insurance provider, in the quotes we display.
